HPCTRAIN Call for traineeships

HPCTRAIN hosting opportunity

Call details

Introduction

This call invites organisations to submit traineeship opportunities focused on HPC as the core domain, including its intersections with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing (QC). While interdisciplinary topics are encouraged, HPC must remain the central component of the traineeship, ensuring that trainees gain practical and professional experience with HPC systems, tools, or methodologies. The traineeships are expected to take 3 to 6 months. The programme aims to provide trainees with “on-the-job” training opportunities, networking possibilities, exposure to the European HPC ecosystem, and pathways towards future employment in sectors using supercomputing technologies.

Eligible hosts can be

  • HPC centres and supercomputing facilities
  • Universities and research institutions offering professional and non-academic long-term career opportunities (such as operations, services, etc.)
  • Industry partners, including SMEs and startups
  • Public sector organisations active in HPC-related domains providing clearly identified professional career paths

Applicants must be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in one of the eligible countries. Eligible countries are the members of the EuroHPC JU.This is a continuous call running until 31 December 2028.
