CSC – IT Center for Science (CSC – Tieteen Tietotekniikan Keskus Oy) is a Finnish centre of expertise in information technology, owned by the Finnish state and higher education institutions. CSC provides internationally high-quality ICT expert services for higher education institutions, research institutes, public administration, and enterprises.
CSC’s data centre in Kajaani, Finland, hosts the LUMI supercomputer – one of the world’s fastest supercomputers and one of the most advanced platforms for AI, serving the international scientific community through an 11-country consortium. LUMI is also one of the greenest supercomputers in the world.
CSC has provided computational and network services since 1971 and is an integral part of the Finnish national research infrastructure, with a strong track record in European HPC collaboration.
